Pepper Coat, “the musical alter-ego of Edmund Lawrence Kasubinski III” will be playing live with guitar and harmonica in hand. Democracy: A discussion – On Wednesday evening at 6:30pm, the Greater Astoria Historical Society is hosting an installment Community Conversations, a program sponsored by the New York State Council for the Humanities. This series invites New Yorkers to discuss the role democracy plays in their lives as members of local, national, and global communities. This discussion will deal with civic participation and the meaning of democracy. The event is free.
