It’s the country’s longest-running, multicultural song-and-dance company. The Duquesne University Tamburitzans form a unique ensemble of young folk artists dedicated to the performance and preservation of the music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe. On April 7, this 36-performer troupe will take the audience at Queensborough Performing Arts Center on a cultural tour through the towns, back roads and villages of such countries as Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia, Greece and Russia with fresh, live music performed on authentic instruments with hundreds of colorful costumes.
