The new artist collective, Mission to (dit)Mars is holding their inaugural meeting on Wednesday, August 15 from 6:30-9:30pm at Alewife in LIC. This should be a fun time, and a great opportunity for Queens artists to meet each other, share ideas, and make connections. By the way, Alewife serves up delicious food, so definitely try some of the menu items (their fries are amazing and their beer list is particularly epic).

Mission to (dit)Mars, a brand new arts collective serving the Queens area will be holding its first mixer at Alewife in Long Island City, NY. Any artists interested in participating are invited to attend the mixer and join the group for cocktails, conversation and fun.

Mission to (dit)Mars is the brainchild of Queens residents Kari Bentley-Quinn, Don Nguyen, Laura Pestronk, and Meredith Packer. Its mission is to provide Queens-based artists with a local outlet for their creative endeavors, with the ultimate goal being to create an artistic collective that promotes local talent and original ideas. Their focus is on theater and performance, but they are looking for ways to support visual artists and local musicians as well.

More info on this event and other events is available over in our QueensNYC events calendar.
