Demo and Six-Story Apartment Building for South Williamsburg Garage

There’s a six-story apartment building planned for a narrow lot at 79 South 5th Street in Williamsburg, where developer Golden Lioness is about to demolish a small garage, according to DOB records. New building applications filed in April tell us the 6,337-square-foot build will have six residential units. The developer has filed an application to demolish the single-story garage toward the back of the property. The new 88-unit rental development called The Williamsburg, which recently started leasing, is next door at 373 Wythe Avenue. Mona Gora, founder of Golden Lioness, bought the property for $12,000,000 from Harbor View Realty in 2005, according to PropertyShark. GMAP
