Another big glassy apartment is taking shape on Kent Avenue. The windows are going in at 40 North 4th Street, where construction started late last year. The current new building permits were approved in December 2012 and show an 86-unit apartment building with 43 underground parking spaces, zoned for 51,689 square feet of residential space and 2,563 square feet of ground floor retail on what was formerly a long-vacant lot. The architect is Elena Kalman. The initial new building permits were filed in 2008, and then the building changed hands in November 2010. Waterview Lofts LLC bought the building for $5,000,000 from another LLC, which we thought was the Chetrit Group. What do you think of the look?
