Streetlevel: New Realty Office on 7th Avenue?
Brown craft paper covers the windows of the former fabric store on 7th Avenue and Berkeley Place in Park Slope, and a tipster tells us when the paper comes down it will be… a real estate office. Let the growling begin. Can anyone out there confirm?

Gay bar.
Clover Club has tasty drinks, but a little to high-end for me. You are totally right – we need a bar. No, 11217, not a gay bar. All would be welcome of course, I just don’t want to feel self-conscious about being a straight fashion mistake when I sit down for a drink.
I agree with you lechacal. I live on this block also, and it’s very difficult to think of much else we need in this area…
A gay bar, maybe?
Actually, I think we could use a fabric store. I miss Sew Brooklyn.
lechacal – I think the block could use an old-timey cocktail lounge like The Clover club over on Smith Street … but then, I’m a fan of old-timey cocktail lounges.
confirmed. peaked in last night and saw the rows of little desks with computer monitors already set up. yippee.
A Real Estate Office is a great idea for this location, let the white flight and blockbusting begin.
I live on this block. I can’t really think of anything else I would rather have there. We pretty much have everything else we need close by. Might as well look at real estate porn (listings in the window) when I walk by.
By the way, Lisa…this was a fabric store BEFORE it was Peek a Boo Kids.
They lasted about a year and just closed a couple months ago.
Previous to that, it was a fabric store…
Just fyi…
