Christmas Coming Early to Brooklyn
Gowanus Lounge has some photos of the Christmas decorations already adorning 5th Avenue in the Slope (they were spotted at the Fulton Mall last week). Last we checked, it was early November, right? Any other neighborhoods awash in tinsel yet?

There was a radio station in Philly playing Christmas carols all day last Saturday & Sunday!!! My decorations go up Thanksgiving weekend…come on over for a party!!!
I love love Christmas Decorations. I drag hubby to see them all. We’ll start at Time Warner (which I think is the best)and walk down to Rock Center, looking at all the windows (Bergdoff always outdoes themselves). I’ll drag him to the stores off the stip to; Barney’s, Lord and Taylor, Macys, Bloomies. We go to Soho, and of course Dyker Heights in Brooklyn. Where ever there’s a twinkling light, or a smiling santa, I’m there.
Last year, was the every first time I waited on that line at Macy’s Workshop to see Santa (yes, Hubby, me and an adult friend). It was a sweat shop of Santas, I felt cheated.
I say it’s never too early for x-mas Decorations. My favorite is seeing a plastic Santa Claus on someones roof in August.
SoHo has the boots
NoHo’s got the crack
New England has the foliage But I’m not goin’ back
Here come the Jews complaining about Christmas decorations…
I love 5th avenue. Its so much more livelier then 7th. 5th avenue has the young crowd. 7th has the mommy crowd.
some of the fifth avenue decorations were up even before halloween.
I saw people walking around the city this morning with Starbucks Christmas cups.
I just got back from the UK and they already had decorations in stores/malls and ads on TV. We should consider ourselves lucky.
