Next Chapter in Billburg Development Saga

We were a little slow on the draw with this one today, but The Daily News isn’t always on the top of our reading pile. Today the paper reported on the next chapter in the escalating tensions in Williamsburg between locals and developers. Larr Walczak, a resident of a building on North 7th Street that is adjacent to the North 8th Street property where developer Mendel Brach is erecting a controversial 222-foot tower, is now pointing to 4-foot long cracks in his walls. The alleged cause: Brach’s noisy demolition. DOB found evidence of only small cracks in December and has yet to take action regarding these latest claims.
