You can down-zone all you want but it’s hard to stand in the way of good old capitalism. In fact, given this sign on 3rd Avenue and 24th Street, we not even sure the wife will let us go to Lowe’s again on our own.

  1. What Prat Slope really needs is some cute stores selling handbags and scarves for snooty chicks. Maybe a thai place too…

Screw the old school residents, all you over 40 working-class types should get out and stop making the yuppies, breeders and hipsters feel uncomfortable.

  2. 12:12 PM, you need to learn some manners. The earlier poster didn\’t say anything to make light of the inconvenience caused for the people who live in this house. All he said was that Park Slope could use a good whore house, and it\’s perfectly fine to speculate about what kinds of businesses different neighborhoods need. If I think PS needs a hotel or a bakery or a whore house, I\’ll damned well say so.

  3. It sounds like since there is already an available customer base for this building, it would be in the families best interets to have mom take on the extra work- I mean, college doesn’t pay for itself…

  4. Shut up about where a whore house belongs. I feel bad for these poor people who have had to deal with this to the extent they put a sign on their own front door. I wouldn’t want to have to deal with this nor would I want my kids to have to deal with this. What a bunch of insensitive cads.
