The “Car Free Bedford” movement cites the disproportionate amount of truck traffic that the highly-populated thoroughfare receives as well as the enhanced community feel of car free areas in general. That’s all good and fine, but how are we supposed to pick up our dry cleaning on North 7th?

Those hipsters should just go back to the midwest. Of course, they probably will at the first sign of NY getting “dangerous” again.
BTW, we’re still living in our Billburg rental while we’re renovating the Clinton Hill house…
my hope is that the cosmic april fools’ joke is the prospect of picking up dry cleaning on n. 7th. Why would you go to williamsburg when we have the best dry cleaner in the world in fort greene: New Raider on Myrtle.

i can’t imagine that the people who live on, say, berry or driggs would be too pleased by this.
Bedford is the longest street in Brooklyn. Williamsburg is all one ways. You can’t just close a section to let hipsters frolic. As a car owner living on the Northside I can’t think of anything worse.
