The Brooklyn Borough President’s Office is holding a public meeting this evening on the Greenpoint Landing and 77 Commercial Street developments, Greenpointers reported. More specifically, it will be a Uniform Land Use Review Procedure hearing (ULURP), where anyone can sign up to speak for three minutes. Community Board One voted down the 6,100-unit high-rise developments last week, citing the need for more affordable housing. The next step in the review process is a recommendation from the Borough President’s office, which submits its land use recommendation to the City Planning Commission. The public meeting will be held at 5 pm in the Borough President’s Court Room at Brooklyn Borough Hall at 209 Joralemon Street. Comments on individual items can be sent via email to askmarty@brooklynbp.nyc.gov and should copy slevin@council.nyc.gov.
