Brooklyn Craft Workshop Teaching Arts in Gowanus

Reader and Brooklyn New School teacher Rachel Schwartzman wrote in to let us know about a new arts program for kids in Gowanus. She recently started the Brooklyn Craft Workshop with another teacher at 164 9th Street. Together they offer summer and after-school programs for children with classes in print making, paper making, book arts, bead making and sewing. The BCW also plans to offer workshops to the larger community this fall at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Added Value Farm’s Harvest Festivals.
