Giant To-Do List Appears on Front Street
We’re not sure whether this is some kind of street-level corporate marketing stunt by Staples or an art project, but either way the giant post-it collage that sprung up over night at the corner of Front and Washington in Dumbo was attracting gawkers as we made our way to the office first thing this morning….

Anyone got the skinny on it?
Just to set it straight. The Crosby Street, 6th Street and DUMBO “TO DO” installations were all done by Illegal Art. The Good People at The Apartment hosted the first installation as a part of their atists series. The entire project has been funded out of our own pockets, no Staples or 3M involved. Thus far, we have been supporting them.

The “I Like Turtles” is a line borrowed from one of the more famous youtube videos:

The same art group did the Cosby St installation:

Oh wow. This is a blatant rip-off off what was done on crosby street a while ago. The Apt did this in their windows and I think the description of the installation was the same. Brownstoner can you look into this?

What will the crazy artist-creature think of next??
decorating with Post-Its is the new new thing. I’ve seen it covering whole walls in a couple places now
it was done by an art group called something like “illegal art” – they did another one in the east village @ 6th street and 1st ave.
