It’s official: The cast of the 21st season of “The Real World” will live in Downtown Brooklyn’s Belltel Lofts, says the Daily News. And how pumped does Belltell owner David Bistricer sound? Palpably. “It is what it is. It’s the ‘Real World,'” says Bistricer. (Isn’t it kinda weird that the day a measure to preserve Starrett City’s affordability is announced, spurned buyer Bistricer is in the news for bringing the height of philistine vulgarity MTV to Brooklyn?) The seven strangers will be living in a $6 million, 6,000-square-foot, two-story penthouse. A Jacuzzi will be imported. Fun facts: The spread will be the smallest in “Real World” history, and filming will not be allowed in Belltel’s common areas. See you at Floyd, guys.

  1. @5:53, post #1, I think the most pathetic thing is your obsession with trying to troll Biff. I see you doing it all the time. Why do you care so much what he does? It’s weird. I guess you have nothing better to do with your life. Also – if you have anything better to say than complaining about the Belltel noise guy, then say it.

  2. Why did they pick this building? Most likely because the BellTel folks cut them an incredible deal in exchange for all the PR. That’s why almost every reality show shoots in Vegas…

  3. I would have said there’s one disgruntled busy bee owner furiously typing to the negative . . . but whatever.

Fact is, every development has its issues and BellTel is not the exception. Sure, there are a few issues that the owners and board work to remedy. No one at BellTel would say it is flawless. But by and large, owners are quite happy. And that is why they defend the building when the disgruntelds or other blogosphere negatives hate on it. It’s a great building, great community, great location and an exciting time for Downtown Brooklyn.

  4. I’m not sure which is more pathetic….the same schmuck who keeps coming on talking about how loud the footsteps are ay BellTel or Biff, a middle aged family man who is going to be sitting around all summer watching the Real World.

  6. BrooklynLove, you’re not alone. I’ll tune in too. In fact, I bet if Brownstoner included a weekly feature recapping the most recent episode, it would be a guaranteed 100+ post thread.
