Introducing a new photo feature in which we’ll run pictures of notable Brooklyn blocks, particularly those in areas that are on the road to becoming historic districts. Today, a walk down Park Place, between Kingston and Albany avenues. (As a bonus, we snapped a few photos of Virginia and Hampton Place, two short blocks between Park and Sterling.) This block of Park Place is part of Crown Heights North Phase Three, which has already been calendered by the LPC. Phase Two was landmarked in June. You can read a little history about a particular group of buildings on this block – #1096-1104 – in a very recent Building of the Day post. Know a block you think deserves the star treatment?
