Make Myrtle Avenue Look Good

The Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership is holding a Myrtle Avenue Photo Contest and plans to feature the winning shot on its website, Facebook and Twitter. Here’s what they are looking for: “Bold, eye-catching digital images capturing the architecture, storefronts, people, streetscape elements and activities on Myrtle Avenue between Flatbush and Classon. Think: images that capture Myrtle’s unique character, something unsuspectingly beautiful, or the daily hustle and bustle of the avenue.” The MARP staff will select the top ten photographs and the finalists will be showcased on Flickr. The public will choose the first-prize, second-prize and third-prize winners. Winners receive a $400, $250, and $100 gift certificate to Utrecht Art Supplies. The entry form is here; you have until Sept. 25 at 5 pm to submit up to five digital images!
