bpl-panel-042409.jpgWe’re honored to be included in a panel discussion taking place at the Brooklyn Public Library on Tuesday night. The topic: Fort Greene/Clinton Hill Past & Present. Hosted by The Local’s Andy Newman, the panel features neighborhood old-timers DK Holland, Nelson George and Carl Hancock Rux. And us. Expect lots of cool stories from the past as well as thoughtful reflections on the phenomenon of change. The event starts at 7 pm and is free but seating is limited to 175 people.

  1. How ridiculous. A panel is being offered on the history and present of a neighborhood and you would think it was a presidential election. What’s the debate? That the “wrong” person has been invited and will say the “wrong” thing? GASP!!! That the “right” person wasn’t invited to say the “right” thing. EGADS!!! Come one people, GET OVER IT! Should we check their political affiliations, US residency status, tax debt, property ownership, sexual preference and cv before the panel commences? Nelson George has a very impressive bio. So does Rux. I’m sure the other panelists do as well. Looking forward to it.

  2. Well, “we” will keep bringing it up because sometimes your use of “we” sounds very awkward…sometimes not. Its constant use will generally not win you friends.

    Do what you will.

If you show up with an identical twin, “we”‘ll leave you alone on this in future!

    😉
