Rooftop Party in Bushwick Launches Art-Centric Rental Building This Thursday, August 2

MySpace NYC is sponsoring a rooftop party to launch new Bushwick rental building Denizen. Local businesses and residents are invited for free food and drinks on August 2nd from 6 to 9 pm.

Reflecting new Bushwick rental building Denizen’s goal of supporting cohesive growth in the community, MySpace NYC is sponsoring a rooftop and block party for locals to have free food and drinks on August 2nd from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The new 1,000-unit rental building at 54 Noll Street sits on the site of the former Rheingold Brewery, and it’s a development that’s keenly aware of its surroundings — the community of businesses, artists and residents that make the neighborhood one of the most colorful in the city.

Local food vendors at the party will include Archie’s, MOMO, Foster Sundry, Sandwich Lab and La loncheria. Beer is courtesy of Braven Brewery, liquor from Wandering Barman and wine from Irving Bottles. There will be a DJ providing music.

The Denizen project is located on two adjacent sites in Bushwick, occupying an entire block. The architect, ODA, has taken steps to improve the impact of development by creating OPEN, the ODA Public Engagement in Neighborhoods.

Artists, many from Bushwick, were commissioned to create murals — 10 of the 15 are completed — and sculptures throughout the campus. An urban farm on the rooftop will bring fresh vegetables and herbs to the public market. The space will also include a public park and a number of other community-driven amenities.

Denizen is a city within a city, anchored by a 17,850 square foot courtyard where creativity flourishes. It offers abundant green space, a public park and promenade, an on-site beer brewery, a community chef’s kitchen, rooftop gardens, a dog park and spa, a lively cafe with co-working space, a curated art gallery, game room, fitness centers and much more.

443 of the 1,000 expected units are now renting. All leasing and marketing is being handled by the Myspace NYC New Development Team.
