The old-fashioned tradition of a Christmas church bazaar is returning to Brooklyn this year at Brooklyn Heights’ Danish Seamen’s Church.

A hugely popular annual event, the traditional Danish Christmas fair will offer gifts and goodies, including (if the translated invitation is accurate) Danish hot dogs and candy. There will also be both modern and traditional Christmas decorations, “Danish applied arts…Bodum, Dansko,” and doughnuts.

The free market is open to the public and will take place Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. respectively. The church is located at 102 Willow Street.

In addition to the fair, the Seamen’s Church’s restaurant at Plymouth Church, open exclusively on Saturdays, will be offering sandwiches, pastries and mulled wine. See more information about it at the church’s website.

“Vi glæder os til at se dig!” says the invitation.
