According to today’s Daily News, developer Shaya Boymelgreen is rapidly moving ahead with plans to build a 150 to 200 room hotel at 800 Pacific Street. The former bread factory is smack in the middle of Ratner’s Atlantic Yards project; it is also just down the street from another of Boymelgreen’s projects, an 85,000 square foot residential and office project that he’s developing with Henry Weinstein at 750 Pacific Street. Frankly, neither option seems particularly appealing to us.

  1. GO Boymelgreen!! A hotel sounds very cool. I was informed by a friend of mine that lives in Newswalk that there is a new addition of townhouse like condos, with backyards, 30 foot ceilings and some with private parking. I heard the finishes will be gorgeous. Wonder when these will come to market?
