Emily of the blog Petit Pomme celebrates scoring a sweet pad in the heart of the Carroll Gardens historic district:

C and I found an apartment to rent! Yah! No more scouring craigslist for no-fee apartments and fighting the masses to get an appointment in only to be too scared to make the split-second decision to take it or not. There was a lot of blood and sweat, and maybe some tears too at the sheer amount of money you have to throw down to get a place here but I am (at least right now) ecstatic about the place. Of course, it could all change once we actually move in. Imagine more trees and leaves and also gardens in every yard. And how exciting – we get to paint it.

  2. That’s quite an old photo. The house in the immediate foreground was renovated several years ago and now has a fully planted and blooming garden. Don’t know if the house is the one where the apt is located, but the photo doesn’t do it justice.
