Salvager: Two Antique Radiators on Sidewalk
“I can’t believe my neighbors are getting rid of these!” writes in a reader from work in the financial district. If antique radiators are your bag (these are from a 19th century landmarked skyscraper), you’ll want to hustle over to the Potter Building on Nassau between Beekman and Spruce in Lower Manhattan posthaste. Thanks, Anna!

I have radiators (pre-war) that I want to cover. Awhile ago I found an old steel radiator cover on the street – I stripped it and it turned out real nice, a lot nicer than the aluminum ones you can buy. Haven’t seen or found one since. Anybody know who sells them?
very cool
Wouldn’t be so sure they’re gone. Those suckers have to be pretty heavy. Not something to just throw over your shoulder on the way home!
No doubt they’re already gone. My wife would want them just because they’re free. Can anyone tell if they’re for one- or two-pipe steam?
Come to think of it, I could use one in my kitchen.
