If you are ready to give your interior spaces a refresh, there will be plenty of opportunities to soak in some inspiration with the return of New York City’s annual design month.

NYCxDESIGN, a nonprofit that promotes the city’s creative community, returns May 18 and runs through May 25 this year with exhibitions, panels, open studios, and trade shows across the city.

The anchor trade shows, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and WantedDesign Manhattan, both run from May 21 to 23 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.

For Brooklyn design lovers who want to stay in the borough, there are exhibits, studio crawls, and more to enjoy.

The 10th annual Industry City Design Festival and Open Studios takes place from May 20 to May 21 with a weekend of workshops, open studios, and exhibits.

FAD Market will be holding a special pop-up market featuring designers and makers on May 20 and 21 at Boerum Hill’s Invisible Dog Center.

Meet innovators at work at the Brooklyn Navy Yard with Design Day at the Yard on May 20. The event is geared toward design professionals with open studios to visit and a panel discussion in the evening.

Get a look inside Gowanus’ transformed Batcave with a self-guided tour at Powerhouse Arts on May 21, offered in conjunction with Open House New York. Tickets are free, but registration for timed entry is required.

At the Brooklyn Army Terminal, Makerspace NYC will have open studios to visit in their main space and their new studio space on May 21.
