A reader sent in these photos of the three-family at 80 Pioneer Street in Red Hook, next to Coffey Park. This week the house is getting demo’d, our tipster said, but a look at property records indicates it is probably in for more of a gut than a complete tear-down.
After nearly 40 years in the same family, the property sold in February to a company called South Bronx Revitalization Inc. of Richmond Hill for $400,000. An alt-2 permit approved this month calls for interior and exterior renovation as well as direct boiler and fixture replacement.

I idly thought about it, but it certainly was an intimidating job. They got a great price for the two structures, though.
