for enquiring minds…i only like ac on the hottest days, and on those days i quite like it.
signed,
a very content mrs. brownstoner
You know I can’t ignore a Shelter Island reference…For the full seafarer effect, have you considered a cupola (to cover the unsightly ac units) topped with a widows walk? Mrs Brownstoner can watch for you as you spend your days slaving away to bring us the freshest content in town.
I doubt we’re going to use it much–just for a/c in hottest part of the summer–and it’ll sure beat a bunch of window units for that. Plus, if we were ever going to do it, now was the time when all the walls were opened up.
I hate central air — it feels like plastic and guys always like it too cold. You’re lucky Mrs Brownstoner let you get away with that!
Well, we are one story higher than the neighbors on either side, so shouldn’t be a problem.
Hope they are very quiet and not too close to neighbors window. You may have central air but maybe they don’t.
Sometimes noise is less if over roof and not just on the edge.
you’ll have central air?
oh, how nice!!
I’m totally jealous
