This is treading into Forgotten NY territory, but we were waiting at the light at the corner of Lorimer and Marcy last weekend when we noticed these old trolley tracks embedded between the cobblestones and asphalt of Lorimer Street. Now that those on Fulton are being dug up, we wonder whether the days are numbered…
This is treading into Forgotten NY territory, but we were waiting at the light at the corner of Lorimer and Marcy last weekend when we noticed these old trolley tracks embedded between the cobblestones and asphalt of Lorimer Street. Now that those on Fulton are being dug up, we wonder whether the days are numbered for these as well.
I think with the Dead it’s more likely he’s smoking…
trolley tracks are only removed as part of a street reconstruction (not to be confused with a mere repaving)
