The landmark building, which is on the corner of 25th Street and 5th Avenue, was asking $775,000, or $1,500,000 along with an adjacent wood-frame house. According to Sean Kelly, one of the CPEX brokers who listed the property, both buildings are in contract and the sale will probably close within a couple months. While Kelly couldn’t give specifics about what the buyer plans for the space, he said “it’s not necessarily a flower shop, though it will serve as an amenity to the cemetery.”

Amenity? A NICE RESTAURANT FOR EVERYONE TO GATHER AFTER THE FUNERAL, duh! And by “nice” I mean a menu friendly to children and the elderly, elegant enough to respect the departed but not too expensive for the newly bereaved to afford. Think Milleridge Inn on LI.
Restoration is key and first priority, use comes second. Though I’ll bet it utilized in conjunction with the cemetery.
