The Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower is, at long last, getting naked. As Gowanus Lounge also noticed, workers have removed the shrouding from the topmost portion of Brooklyn’s tallest building over the past couple of days, revealing the skyscraper’s gleaming gold cupola. (Good stuff to be sure, but perhaps not as good news as the fact that common charges were recently chopped in half.) We can’t wait for the full monty, when the tower’s restored clockfaces get an airing. It’s been too long, Willie.
