The Brooklyn Museum has sent out a call for assistance from all you Brooklyn history buffs out there. Historypin, a social sharing site set to launch this July, is “encouraging its users to map historical images to modern day locations in order to show then and now comparisons.” The Brooklyn Museum has more than 300 images they need help identifying and placing on a map for Historypin. You can read more about the project here. The museum plans to gradually release the images; the first mystery set has been posted on Flickr here.
