Yes, it’s entirely possible that the house is earlier than 1824. Those north Heights frame houses could be very early…and undoubtedly were altered often.
We’re not. We have made friends with him through our work on Brownstoner, though. He’s THE authority on this stuff, so we consult his book frequently and like to give credit where it’s due. You got a problem wid dat?
