millwork/woodwork source for thin strips of oak?
Hey y’all. I am doing a renovation that requires a bunch of pieces of 1/4″ x 8″ x 30″ quartersawn solid oak. Not really an off the shelf item… can anybody recommend a local lumber store/woodworker who would be able to provide something like this? Preferably Brooklyn or someone who could ship here. Any advice appreciated!

Adriatic Hardwood on Pitkin St in ENY. 718-922-4621. Ask for Chris or Eric. tell them Stetson sent you. If you go in there, they should be able to make it while you wait. I can make it, but it will not save you anything over Adriatic. Steve http://brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/tinkerswagon

Thanks. Dyke’s didn’t have it/wouldn’t mill it, same w/ Rosenzweig. Emailed Copper Beach. Any other tips?

Dykes has quartersawn solid oak in stock 1/4″ is kind of thin. You’ll have to have them cut it to your dimension.
