Our current gate underneath our stoop leading to the garden apartment opens via a key from the inside. We would like to replace this set up with key on the outside and normal hand twist on the inside. In order to do this we need one of those circular guards so it is impossible to reach in from the outside and unlock the gate. Our current gate doesn’t have one. Do I need an iron work guy, or is this something stock that a locksmith could install when changing the type of lock? Any other suggestions? We want to ensure easy egress in an emergency that doesn’t require a key. Thanks!
