Reat Estate (Landmarks Specialty) Attorney

Can anybody recommend a good, reasonably agressive, attorney? We have some very agressive neighbors who are planning work that will dramatically alter their house, claim our working chimneys & mar the view from the street. They have submitted falsified documents to lpc…. We need someone good.

Assuming you’re not violating the building code or zoning resolution, dramatically alterning their house, claiming your working chimnies (as long as they extend them as required), and marring the view from the street are things that NYC property owners are allowed to do. LPC is a different matter, as their arbitrating style/taste, not building heights or lot coverage.  If they’ve falified their LPC submittal, then @grandarmyrec is spot on.  Contact LPC, and demonstrate the falsification.  LPC won’t take the situation lightly at all. Don’t hesitate to reach out directly to LPC. They are not a faceless bureaucracy; someone will answer the phone and/or call you back. The Park Slope Civic Council can probably help too. You don’t have to spend your money on an attorney… at least for now!
