Anyone have any idea where I can find some, either new or used? I need shutters for one window, meaning one pair of shutters for the bottom half of the window and one pair for the top. In total the shutters should measure 33 1/2 by 74\. Thanks.

You could try Eddie Hibbert’s salvage shop on the corner of Greene and Grand.  The last time I was there, he had quite a collection of shutters, and he is resonably priced.  His business hours aren’t “regular” (ie, he’s not 9 to 5) — he’s open most but not all weekday afternoons (can’t remember which days he is closed, perhaps another person reading this post could advise).  And he is open on weekends.

notny, In case you don’t get an answer from other quarters:  Eddie does have a cell phone, but there is no land line at the business.  I don’t have the cell number.   It’s probably best to go there.  You should expect to find the shutters you seek, and not spend an arm and a leg.  You should also expect to wait a bit as he and his colleagues have a shitload of stuff stuffed into a small space, and it takes a while to burrow into whatever you are looking for (moving the old doors, mantlepieces, etc, etc).   Bring cash as they have no credit card swiper.  Also, I always find it efficient to bring my own tape measure to Eddie’s.   By the way, NYC Build it Green (two locations, in Queens and Brooklyn) may have what you are looking for, and they are more conventionally set up.  www.bignyc.org   Hope that helps.  Good luck!
