Cleaning in between double pane windows -- possible?

We have one window in our tenants apt that is dirty in between the double pane (see photo and look at the mid thru bottom of the window). We realized this after cleaning both the inside and outside of the window. It looks terrible. Is there any way to disassemble the window, clean it and then be able to put it back together? Special tools needed? Doable for a pretty handy building owner?

When cleaning windows it’s not always what you see is what you get! Some window cleaning chemicals won’t leave streaks right away but after a good drying period a dull film will start to appear

Vela Glass is excellent to deal with and they will come out and do it. it might take more than one day if they have to order the glass but they are fast, efficcient and do a great job

Take the whole sash out and take it to one of the old fashioned glass shops, the one on 5th Ave just closed, there is one way up the top end of Fulton St near Saratoga. There are a couple on MacDonald. They tend to be in non gentrified neighborhoods and locations. But, I am afraid to say it will probably go again in few years, this is the nature of them especially in windows facing south that get sun all day.

It might depend on the mfr. but for most you just replace the pane unit.

The seal is broken. Double-paned windows should be air-tight. I’ve been told it cannot be fixed & when I had one replaced the glass shattered even w/ a pro doing the work.
