Recommended contractor

I just wanted to follow up on a posting I did awhile back, “Frustrated in finding bathroom contractor” which described the difficulty we were having finding someone to renovate our bath in a 1930’s apartment building. In the end I went with one of the posters who responded to my query, ET Construction Design (they advertise here on Brownstoner.) As he had promised, he got back to me with a quote within just a few days (where others I’d contacted either never responded or came and then disappeared…) Eddie Torres and his partner Troy were great to work with, absolutely trustworthy, friendly and personable–an important consideration for me since I work at home and we were in close quarters for several weeks. ET always came up with creative solutions to problems, were diligent workers, and always cleaned up meticulously at day’s end. The job did take quite a bit longer than estimated but I suppose that is par for the course. We are really pleased with our new bathroom. I can no longer recommend this contractor. We had repeated problems with the shower –cracked grout in the floor–and he has refused to rectify it. We tried to get him back for six months (the problems surfaced way back in June, and from June to November he did not respond.) He finally came, took a look, said he’d return to fix it, but never responded to phone or email messages. Now, the entire floor of the shower will need to be ripped up and replaced as the whole thing is coming loose and water seeping through. We are very unhappy with the service from E.T. Construction and can not recommend him.

can you please post a photo of inside your shower stall, how close is your shower outlet to the doorway as thinking of doing something similar. How much did eddie charge you to do this and what exactly was done?
