Recommendation(s) for Contractor to Put in New Sidewalk?

We need to replace our sidewalk which has gotten very pitted to the point where our insurance company has required replacement as a condition of renewal. So, we’re looking for some contractor recommendations on pouring a new sidewalk (fwiw, it’s probably about 300 square feet). Also, what is the going rate for a sidewalk these days psf? Many thanks.

True-probably not the quickest. If you have a violation, you could apply through the expedited process. It’s very easy. Otherwise, it may take years, literally. DOT rotates through the boroughs and may not be back to your area in quite some time.

workisfun is right, but i’m pretty sure the only way DOT will replace it is if you have a sidewalk violation already. also, it’s not as quick as if you were to hire a contractor.

call the DOT sidewalk department. despite what people told me, they proved to be cheapest. also – they do all the permitting and take responsibility.
