City spray painted marks on sidewalk??
Hello all! The city came by a few weeks ago and spray painted various marks (mostly arrows) in various different colors on the sidewalk. Colors include green, white, blue, yellow, red and orange. Does anyone know what these marks are for or what the color-coding means? No one (including me) seems to have actually seen what agency the workers were from, and a search of 311 didn’t turn anything up.

ConEd did this on our sidewalk a few months ago. Then they drilled a hole and filled it in all on the same day. Incidentally, our neighbor lost his electricity, heat and hot water for three days, and we had flickering lights for a month — probably to do with snow, salt and water getting into the lines. Working fine now though.
