shower in mud room

I have a garden parlor rental unit that currently has a heated 1/2 bath in the back mud room. I’m thinking of adding a small shower and was wondering if anyone had any experience converting mud rooms into more useful spaces. Any advice or contractor recommendations would be much appreciated.
