thank you OP. i think it was you who asked if i could perform a parapet inspection under the new NYC law and i had said “no, that I think it requires a licensed professional” (architect or engineer). it turns out i was wrong. i could have done it and should have done it when i was at your address as part of the larger job. let’s see what i can do to correct that without soaking you.

others, i perform roof inspection services along with leak detection. a good part of what i did for OP was on the roof. I perform these inspections on typical Brownstones and Queens row houses for $500 a pop. Included is a written report and coaching on how to maintain your own roof and flashings and parapets. i can also check the work of others. For an additional $100, I will inspect the front facing parapet per NYC requirement.

I am a Haag Certified Roof Inspector. I also have extensive education in building construction, restoration, maintenance, and management.
