Cost of running a home in Brooklyn.

About to purchase a 2-family in Bushwick. Trying to gauge the costs associated with owning property in Brooklyn. How much are garbage removal, water, and any other additional costs associated with owning a home in the city? The home has central air and heating in both units and has been recently renovated.
Of course, every property is different but certain line items will be similar. If anyone has thoughts on the topic I’d be ever so grateful.

Insurance will run somewhere in the neigborhood of $1,200. Electricity and gas or oil will depend a lot on the efficiency of the system and how well insulated your windows are. You can ask the realtor for the seller to provide all this information for the past year.

You don’t have to worry about garbage removal; that’s provided by the City, paid for by your real estate taxes.
