Will The Housing Market Lead The US Economic Recovery?
Seems like the housing market is steadily making its way back to normal, but it is far away from it’s glory days. Then again I guess it depends on where you are located.
Forbes states that: ” _Depending on which metropolitan market you’re interested in, 2013 looks really dynamic for home real estate…or really challenging. Let’s start with the boomers: California, where the housing bubble appeared – and popped – earliest in the 2006 to 2010 cycle, is now leading the nation in the rebound. Seven of the top 10 metropolitan markets that have seen the highest median price gains during the past 12 months are in the Golden State. Some of the jumps are spectacular, even reminiscent of the bubble._ _In California, Sacramento median list prices were up by 42.6 percent in 2012; Santa Barbara by 35.7 percent; San Francisco, 25 percent; San Jose, 23.5 percent; Oakland, 17.2 percent; Fresno, 16.3 percent; and Riverside-San Bernardino by 15.7 percent. Talk about frothy numbers.
_With the housong market making a comback I do believe that it will impact many different areas positively.

I don’t think so, economical recovery seems to be a dream. With the American economy in snail-slow recovery mode, many workers are being extended further and further by their employers. That, according to a new report, is generating a surge in job burnout.

technically, inflation is leading the economy. Housing is the puppet. We are the pawns.

The stock market leads the economic recovery. It has. Housing has certainly firmed and the housing stocks have predicterd that beginning as much as a year ago. Watch lumber prices… http://www.nahb.org/generic.aspx?genericContentID=527 They have been rising, the housing rebound is real. It is the biggest wealth creator/destroyer of any asset class for most Americans. AND GET OUT OF TREASURIES!!!!!!!
