Window Screen Filters?

Hola folks!  I need some assistance here.  I live on a **very** busy street and get the usual dust, car/truck/bus exhaust, etc. that makes my apartment extra dusty and otherwise pollutes my air.  Due to severe allergies and asthma, I recently invested in a high-powered air purifier (which works great by the way) to help with my breathing.  But, I’m not one of those people who keeps the windows closed at all times.  Of course the air purifier works best when all windows are closed tightly (dammit!).  I’m curious if there is any such thing as a window screen with a dust or pollen/allergen filter built into it.  I figure that if I can get something like that, it would be feasible to open a few windows a couple of inches without negating the hard work of my air purifier.  Does anything like this exist?  Or, in the alternative, is there something I can easily attach to my window screens that would do the same filtering work while still allowing air to come in?  Thanks!

I bought my window screen filters from www.pollenrelief.com they are called Safe Guard Window Filters. They are absoloutley awesome! They come in different sizes and fit great in all my windows.

I have this air purifier:  **http://tinyurl.com/6woopym** I highly recommend it.  It is catching dust and allergens.  I’ve been running it for about a month straight now and the air in here is noticeably better.  And yes, I’m dusting a whole lot less.  (I secretly hoped it would suck the dust off all my stuff!  But alas, I did have to do a deep cleaning when I first got it to help it along.)

Can’t help with your question, but would you mind sharing what air purifier you have? We’ve been debating getting one, so would love a firsthand recommendation. Do you feel like it helps reduce dust accumulation at all, or mainly just with air quality/breathing issues?
