Coffey Park in Red Hook- what's it like living nearby?

Looking at a place in Red Hook looking out on Coffey Park.  What’s that park like during day/night? How’s the location for other things?  Anyone who lives in that hood, I’d love to hear from you. Thanks!

This may be a little late, but Coffey Park is not underused. It is actually quite loud every weekend during the summer, often late into the night. BBQ’s with DJ systems almost every weekend, plus other events means that there is something going on in the park every weekend from before Memorial Day to after Labor Day. Add in the local car club, and you get a very lively and noisy area.

if you are thinking about the Monarch Luggage building, you’ll be fine.  Coffey Park is lovely and completely underused.    you are a bit cut off from the “back” and its amenities such fairway, the waterfront, sunny’s, baked etc, but you’re very close to Carroll Gardens. Smith Street F train is a 15 minute walk via the hamilton ave ped bridge.
