Licensed plumber has to do it. It’s a dog and pony show; I’ll leave it at that. If the property has not been on metered billing for some time, you could get a rebate for up to $1200\. That’s about what it costs. The rebate is a credit on your water bill–no cash back anymore.

Contact the Dept. of Eviornmental Protection. At one time they installed a water meter for free. You could still elgible for that program. If not, you’re going to have pay a licensed plumber to do the installation of the meter.
