someone to snake our gutter leaders.

Usually if you can access the leader, either at the top where it’s connected to the gutter, or by unscrewing one of the sections, you can stick a common water hose with one of those adjustable nozzles on it in there and clear it pretty easily. If you’re not interested in doing that yourself, I’d have a handy man try the same thing.  It will cost a lot less than a plumber.  Maybe since you’re already having the other gutters replaced, you could have one of those guys give it a go?

We are having our gutter replaced and new leaders but we need a plumber to snake our leader at the back of the house, does anyone have a recomendation?   Thanks

I’m a big proponant of DIY solutions whenever possible but, in defense of marshling, our leader (or rather, the cast iron pipe it feeds into) was once so clogged at the base that it really was necessary to use a power snake and, since I don’t own one, I needed a plumber.

I don’t know that I’d call a plumber for something like this – but one of those 49.95 any sewer or drain operations could be an option. Not a lot of money to get someone with a power snake and a little bit of skill to go at the pipe that the leader drains into.
