Renovating The Standpipe Controls on an Old Bathtub

Hi everyone, I have an old J.L. Mott bathtub that has the original brass floormount faucet controls. Unfortunately, the gaskets and other rubber internal organs of these controls have deteriorated over time and the pipe joint tape and band-aids are no longer keeping this thing from leaking. They need a long overdue overhaul. Can anyone recommend someone who can replace the innards and get these babies in working condition again? (…or guide me in replacing the deteriorated parts?) No, George Taylor has only new. Alfano has deadstock for every building in the vicinity going back to the 19-teens. Of course, your parts are likely to be older than that. I think New York Replacement Parts also has deadstock, and if so, would hopefully be older. In any case, they have a huge parts inventory. Enormous.

Alfano Plumbing in Queens will either have the original replacement parts in their deadstock or they will machine them for you new. They are not expensive. Likely they can remachine everything for under $100\. You must take the parts with you to either shop.
