Can I use an "shifting" toilet flange to move my toilet a bit?

My tiny “powder room” is getting completely redone (demolished and being rebuilt from scratch).  I was wondering since I am also getting new tile installed next week, if there is a way to “move” the toilet about 2″ to the left,    I think there is a way to use a special “flange”, but I am not sure.    The reason I cannot move the waste line itself is because then it would be right in the middle of the “wooden beam” and I don’t want anyone to cut into it.

Offset flanges can only help you from front to back. I’ve been in the industry for 35 years and never saw a flange that offsets from left to right.
The only way you can connect pvc to cast iron(has to be no-hub) is with a no hub coupling(use extra heavy couplings) or a mission coupling.
Now here’s the big question. If you have a plumber(hopefully licensed) he(or she) should be answering these questions for you.

The offset flange I referred to is called a Full Flush Offset flange. It has a hub that connects to a piece of pipe. An offset flange has PVC bends attached to the ring which allow you to “offset” the bowl. BTW I don’t like extra bends in a waste pipe it’s a recipe for a clog.

Thank you everyone for the replies.  My question is this, can one connect a cast-iron offset flange to a PVC?  Must it be glued-in?  Right now my PVC pipe ends with nothing on the end, so all options are possible.

There is an offset brass closet flange available to solder onto a lead bend. If you have any choice, don’t do it. Why would you want to put a little shelf in the waste line below your toilet unless you want something to pile up there? If you don’t have any choice, it is a life saver (of sorts).

Depending upon where the toilet is you could header the joist and provide the space for it.

I don’t know of any PVC flange that shifts the roughing side to side. Only front to back.

I have a PVC, so I guess I am in luck?   So 1 1/2″, maybe then it’s worth it.  Will it be hidden UNDER the new tile?  I will have a mud job and 3/8″ tile.

What you are looking for is called an offset closet flange. If you have a PVC closet bend then it can be done. If you have a lead bend which is more likely then you’re shit out of luck. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself ;P
