What paint is needed for Iron railings ( exterior )

for best durable paints. which i recommend  from Benjamin Moore.you need to apply metal primer first, then find the D.T.M alkyd black enamel paints. what ever finish you coose. i’ve seen my contractor doing it,

I need to paint some typical iron railings and posts.  I am not sure what is on there now, but there are a bunch of old layers.  Not much scraping needed.  What is the best, most durable paint?  I am going to paint it black ( no colors anymore……)
