Coop Refinancing - Commercial Mortgage Reference?

Hi Brownstoners –   Our coop is looking to refi – but are having trouble finding a commercial mortgage broker to help us.  We have a small building – our loan amount is @ 250K – and that’s been a challenge to find banks that will lend to us.   Looking for any suggestions of commerical mortgage brokers that people have used/like/trust?   Thanks!

Hi, we just refinaced a 4 unit co-op on Sackett St. in Carroll Gardens through Emigrant Funding Corp. for $100k @ 6.99%. We went through a broker, who was recommended, because the amt. was so low and we couldn’t find a source on our own.  But maybe you can try bank directly: 6 E. 43rd St., NYC. 212-850-4880 and see what happens.  If that doesn’t work try broker we used Matthew Murphy (very nice guy):  mmurphy@reversesareus.com Matthew Murphy
